The Power of Enemies - A Thought Experiment

A few years ago I wrote a free report called The One-Sentence Persuasion Course - 27 Words to Make the World Do Your Bidding.

I received more positive response about this report than anything else I’ve written before or since.

While most eagerly embraced the first four elements of my “one sentence” the last element was met with almost universal scorn.  It’s the one that dealt with the power of using our enemies to advance our interests.

I was told…

The concept was too harsh.  Too pessimistic.  And besides, it is no longer an effective appeal in today’s society; people are too sophisticated to fall for such things.

Maybe they’re right.  But then, maybe not.

If you are at all interested in politics and persuasion, I invite you to conduct a little experiment and decide for yourself.  It’ll take you about 15 minutes and it won’t cost you a penny.

First, read my One Sentence Persuasion report.  Download it here free.

Second, watch this video.

Third, consider the near-fanatical devotion Barack Obama has cultivated in many of his supporters.

And finally, ask yourself if my take on the persuasive power of enemies has any validity in today’s world.

Is it too harsh?  Too pessimistic?  Too simplistic to work in today’s society?

Or not.

As a bonus, ask yourself if this approach is more likely to bring our country together or tear it apart.

Choose wisely.  I’d hate to see you end up on the wrong side of our soon-to-be-reunited country.
